Connection Fees
The Various Fees for Connection to the Public Sewer System Are Detailed Below.

Updated 2023 Tapping Rates
An "EDU" is an Equivalent Domestic (or Dwelling) Unit and is calculated at 180 Gallons of usage per day. For planning purposes, we build our infrastructure around a rate of 234 gallons per day in order to compensate for extraneous flows from leaks in residences or businesses, water that enters the system through other means such as joints in pipes or rainwater from the surface and additional flow not originally planned for by a business.

Residential properties are billed for ONE EDU per residence.

Monthly Rates
$52.00 per EDU per month. This fee is billed QUARTERLY at a rate of $156.00.
For Commercial billing, the bill is paid monthly and is based on the number of EDU's the business is allotted OR $9.63 per 1000 gals usage, whichever is greater.

Tapping Fees
Base Tapping Fee....................................................................$4030

Customer Facility Fee (inspection, etc.)...................................$175

Basic Connection to an EXISTING lateral..................................$4205

Connection to an existing "tee" in a mainline...........................$4345
(Please note: This includes the base fee, customer facility fee and "tee")
Connection to a NEW "tee" installed in a mainline....................$4525
(Please note: This includes all fees above plus a $180 "tee" install inspection)

RESIDENTIAL
Residential connections are billed at the BASE RATE and are dependent upon whether they are connecting to an existing lateral or if they must make a new connection to the line where one was not already established. They are always billed at ONE EDU PER RESIDENCE.

COMMERCIAL
The tapping fee for a commercial property is the same as the fees outlined in the RESIDENTIAL section above. However, these fees are assessed PER EDU
For example, if a commercial property is assessed (based on water usage, employees, etc.) at 5 EDU's and is connecting to an existing "tee" in the line, the resultant fee would be:
1 EDU x $4205 = $4,205
4 Additional EDU's at $4030 each = $16,820
